Error: "This field cannot be split into multiple paragraphs"

When a user tries to open a document in a database he gets the error "This field cannot be split into multiple paragraphs".

After doing some research I found that the problem could be with the number of attachments in the document, so I detached them all and then removed them from the document itself. After doing that, the problem still arises.

This problem might be with the number of tables in the rich text fields of the document but I have no idea what to do next to resolve it. Any suggestions?
